IMPERIAL GERMAN REGIMENTAL STEIN FROM THE 8th
NURNBERG ARTILLERY REGIMENT. Stein measures 9 3/4" in height. The body of the stein reads "Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit" near the base. The top reads "8. Feldart. Rgt. 5. Batt. Nurnberg 1905/07". The central portion includes vivid polychromatic scenes of an artillery unit sighting a cannon & an artillery unit firing a cannon. The central vignette depicts a gun crew hauling a cannon & limber up a hill. The base has a lithophane that shows a soldier drinking a beer with his hand on his wife's shoulder. Elaborate pewter domed lid is topped with a pewter copy of a timed artillery fuse. CONDITION: light wear overall. The artillery fuse finial turns freely.
