INTERESTING GROUP OF WWI & WWII US GAS MASKS

& ACCESSORIES. Masks are both Army & Navy issue which would include the Marine Corps.
1) U.S. MODEL 1917 SBR. Developed from the English Small Box Respirator w/ improvements. Produced in 6 sizes (1-6). This was the 1st US made gas mask to receive service on the western front. Mask has khaki canvas carrier & consists of face mask, hose & yellow painted filter canister. Also includes instructions & record card. Mask has size marking "WIDE 3". Mask appears to be complete.
2) US MODEL 1917 SBR. Mask is very similar to #1 above although it comes w/ a canned anti-dimming stick. Also has yellow canister & instruction paper. OD green canvas case marked "4 WIDE" & marked inside flap "S-18-22".
3) USN U GAS MASK ND MARK IV. Mask is sealed in original cellophane wrapper. Carrier is faded blue canvas w/ "lift the dot" fasteners.
4) USN U GAS MASK ND MARK IV. Mask is not in original wrapper but is complete w/ canister & instruction tag. Faded blue cloth container w/ "lift the dot" fasteners.
5) USN U GAS MASK NDO MARK I. Gas mask w/ canister. Has rubber face piece w/ twin hoses & gray canvas carrier.
6) US FIELD PROTECTIVE MASK M9A1. Gas mask developed in 1947 & used through the early 1960s by the US Army & Marine Corps & much later by police & civil defense organizations. Mask was replaced by M17 series. Mask has green rubberized face covering w/ screw on canister on left side of face. Green canvas carrier.
7) US ARMY SERVICE GAS MASK. Mask appears to be M2 w/ green rectangular filter canister. Rubberized mask. Canvas carrier marked w/ "Chemical Corps" insignia.
8) US ARMY LIGHTWEIGHT SERVICE MASK. M3 style mask w/ rubber face piece, circular canister & anti-dimming stick. In green canvas carrier.
9) US M17 MASK. Mask is complete w/ internal filters. Green canvas carrier marked "M17" & "M".
10) US MASK M17A1. Mask is equipped w/ drinking tube. Internal filters are present. Green canvas carrier marked "M17A1" & "M".
ACCESSORIES: other items include 2 sealed replacement canisters for WWII era Navy masks. Decontaminating kit M13 dated 7-66. Good mask M6 in sealed packet. A green canvas carrier marked "US" & "ARMY OPTICAL MASK", WWII era. Brown canvas carrier for early unknown mask marked on rear "FOR TRAINING PURPOSE ONLY". CONDITION: masks have wear, staining, hardening & cracking of flexible components w/ staining & wear on carriers. (02-15900/RW). $1,000-1,400.
