FIGHTING KNIVES.
1) 6 1/2" Double edge spear pointed blade marked "CASE XX". Known as the "sticking knife". Walnut grips. Unmarked brown leather sheath w/ belt slits.
2) 6 3/8" Double edge spear pointed blade marked "CASE". Walnut grips w/ 3 attaching pins. Grip stamped "R COE". Brown leather sheath w/ belt slits marked "COE".
3) 5" Bowie blade knife marked "U.S.N." on left ricasso. Marked "ROBESON SHUREDGE" "No. 20". Straight crossguard. Leather washer handle w/ hardwood pommel. Rnd. leather sheath marked on back "ROY H. SLAUGHTER U.S. TECHNICIAN".
4) 5 1/8" Parkerized bowie blade marked "U.S.N." on left ricasso. Marked w/ "PAL" in oval & "RH35" on right ricasso. Leather washer handle w/ hardwood pommel. Hand leather sheath w/ retaining strap marked "U.S.N." on front.
5) 6 1/4" Fullered bowie type blade marked "RH-36" "PAL" on left ricasso. Leather washer handle. Cast metal pommel. Leather sheath w/ retaining strap marked "L.W. KRIEGMAN 2ND TCS".
6) 4 7/8" Blade knife marked "U.S.N." on left ricasso "ROBESON SHUREDGE" "No. 20" on right ricasso. Leather washer handle. Hardwood pommel. Blade has considerable loss of metal due to grinding. Worn leather grip. Pommel has lg. missing chip. Hobbyist craftsman type leather sheath.
7) 6 1/4" Fullered bowie blade marked "RH-36 PAL" on left ricasso. Straight crossguard. Leather washer handle w/ cast metal pommel. Brown leather scabbard.
8) 4 7/8" Single edge blade marked "PAL RH-34" on left ricasso. Leather washer handle. Hardwood pommel w/ metal cap. Brown leather sheath marked "PAL The Hallmark of Fine Cutlery".
9) 5 1/8" Bowie type single edge blade marked "SCHRADE-WALDEN N.Y. U.S.A. H-15". Straight crossguard. Leather washer handle. Aluminum butt cap. Rnd. leather sheath.
CONDITION: except as noted, knives have moderate wear & handling marks w/ light scuffing. Sheaths have light wear, scuffing & staining w/ generally tight stitching. PROVENANCE: Collection of Brian C. Pinkerton. (02-15440-3/RW). $900-1,200.
