44 S&W: rare box of 8 "Martin" cartridges. Tan box is additionally labeled "FOR Smith & Wesson's Army Revolver CAL. .44. POWDER, 25 GRAINS. BULLET, 225 GRAINS. National Armory, Springfield, Mass. APRIL, 1871." According to "Cartridges" by Logan, these boxes contained 12 cartridges. However, this example has a hand written "8". Box is in good condition w/ light wear & staining. Label is legible. End flaps are slightly loose.
.50 ARMY PISTOL: box of 10, marked "Centre-primed Cartridges, FOR Remington's Army Pistol, Calibre, .50. FRANKFORD ARSENAL, MAY, 1878." These cartridges were for the Rem. rolling block pistols & were inside primed proper cased w/ a 300 gr. rnd. nose lead bullet. Box has wear, staining & taped reinforcement w/ loose corners but legible labeling.
.50 REM. NAVY PISTOL: box of 25, tan box w/ green label Union Metallic Cartridge Co. Box label has trademark & "Central Fire Cartridges 20 Grs. Powder 300 Grs. Bullet Manufactured by The Union Metallic Cartridge Company BRIDGEPORT, CONN." Box & cartridges in good to very good condition. Box has light wear & staining w/ nice legible label.
.45 MODEL 1909 REVOLVER: box of 20, labeled ".45 REVOLVER BALL CARTRIDGES, MODEL OF 1909 FOR COLT'S DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER MODEL OF 1909 SMOKELESS POWDER MANUFACTURED AT FRANK FORD ARSENAL." Box in generally good condition w/ legible labeling.

Box has wear, staining & taped reinforcement. / 2 Boxes of 20 Union Metallic Cartridge Co. Tanned 2 piece boxes w/ red labeling. Cartridges are headstamped U.M.C. SH 45-70. Cartridges loaded w/ smokeless powder & 500 gr. lead bullet. Boxes additionally marked "U.S. Government Standard". Boxes have light wear, staining & taped reinforcement. / Box of 20 Win., tan box w/ green label dated 8-28. Cartridges are labeled black powder 405 gr. lead bullet.
