FULL SIDELOCK EJECTOR 12 BORE GAME GUN A MODEL 215. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 33722. Bbls. 29 3/4". Bohler fluid steel bbls. w/ matted tapered concave game rib that have sm. brass front bead, & maker's name toward breech ends of bbls. w/ gold inlaid "1" w/ wedge of scroll & carved dog's head. Bbls. are of chopper lump construction & have proof marks on polished flats. Point pattern checkered splinter forend w/ scroll engraved iron, gold inlaid "1" towards tip w/ Anson type push button release. Interior of forearm iron w/ S# & floral engraved screw. Full sidelock action w/ game scene of setter w/ fallen rabbit & landing duck on left surrounded by well executed light scroll. Gold inlaid cocking indicator on both sides. Bottom of action has fox w/ fallen duck in his mouth in field scene surrounded by scroll & maker's name w/ running rabbit which is framed in scroll towards front. The beaded fences are engraved in scroll w/ ducks. Top of action w/ near full coverage scroll & top lever w/ scroll engraving & gold inlaid "1" at center w/ 2 flying quail. Top tang is also scroll engraved w/ remnants of gold inlay in front of safety slide. Gun made w/ double triggers, automatic ejectors & automatic safety. Long tang trigger guard w/ seated setter & fallen bird engraved on bow surrounded by scroll & scroll bursts through the long tang. Mounted w/ sling swivels on bottom rib & towards toe of stock. Straight grip buttstock w/ teardrops behind sidelocks checkered in point pattern through the wrist & terminates w/ a thin modern red pad. there is evidence of a removed family crest toward toe. DAC: 1 7/16". DAH: 2 1/8". LOP: 14 5/8". Right: Bore diameter: .734. Restriction: .005 (imp). Minimum wall thickness: .026. Left: Bore diameter: .731. Restriction: .032 (mod). Minimum wall thickness: .026. Weight: 7 lbs 5 oz. CONDITION: very good as partially restored. Bbls. retain approx 95% of a competently restored toning rust blue. Bbls. ring well. Action has been cleaned bright. Forearm restored long ago w/ checkering recut & a patch or 2 of filler on sides, though it is now sound & retains most of its custom finish. Buttstock restored long ago w/ invisible repair from back of top tang to locks. Filler where family crest was toward toe & retains most of its hand rubbed custom finish. Bores are mostly bright. Gun is tight & on face. Mechanics are fine. A very pretty full sidelock representing great value for the workmanship that went into the making of this high quality gun. (21-1190/JL).
