"75-07" GARY RANDALL MODEL 12 BIG BEAR BOWIE KNIFE & TOOLED SHEATH. One of Seven Continent Earth series created by Gary Randall & embellished by Tom Leschorn in 1974. This Series of knives was designed by Gary Randall for the Assistant Attorney General of Florida, Mr. George R. Georgieff in 1970 for display in the Randall Knife Museum in Orlando, FL. These knives remained on display until 2004 when removed by James Georgieff, son of George Georgieff. The consignor procured this knife from James Georgieff in 2014. Overall length: 13". Stainless steel 8" blade w/ engraved "SOUTH AMERICA / 75-07" on right side. Brazilian rosewood handle is carved w/ oak leaves vine type scroll w/ oval motice having ivory carved leopard & snake inlays. Nickel silver dbl. hilt & along w/ flanged buttcap have vine type scroll engraving w/ punch dot backgrounds. Buttcap has oval signature plate marked "CARVED BY / T.W.LESCHORN / 6/76 / FORKS AK" indicating engraved by Leschorn in Alaska June 1976. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: "12 8" marked Randall Made brown leather tooled sheath w/ floral motif engraving on front. Modern Randall Made zippered case. CONDITION: knives & sheath in very good overall condition w/ light tarnish & handling marks on sheath. Sheath snaps exhibit light verdigris. (02-17340/MD). $3,000-5,000.
