Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 256205. Bbls. 30", engraved "Fluid Steel" on tops & fitted w/ flat matted, slightly raised rib. Bbl. flats are stamped w/ S# & "4" (full choke). Front lump is stamped "NITRO POWDER" "PROVED". Casehardened boxlock flues action features automatic safety, gold plated "Infallible" selective single trigger w/ button on left side of top tang. Action is engraved in typical grade 4 style w/ stylized shaded acanthus w/in geometric borders surrounding game scenes on sides; a duck flies over a marsh on left & a pheasant is standing in meadow on right. "Ithaca Gun Co" is on each side. Blued trigger guard has S# at grip. Nicely crotch figured American walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 13 1/8" over Ithaca composition buttplate. Fancy checkering w/ fleur de lis & ribbons through pattern are at grip & a vacant gold shield is on toeline. Matching splinter ejector forend w/ inlet ebony tip has push button & J-spring release. Bore diameters: left - .722, choke .025 (mod), right - .724, choke .013 (lt mod). Wall thickness: left - .040, right - .042. DAC: 1 7/8". DAH: 3". LOP: 13 1/8". WEIGHT: 7 lbs. 13 oz.. CONDITION: bbls. retain over 95% blue, perhaps w/ some touch up over some marks at breech & on left side. Action retains over 90% original casehardening color, silvered on sides of fences & somewhat around bottom, from normal hand wear. Top lever & trigger guard retain over 90% of what appears to be their original blue. Stocks freshened & lightly refinished, checkering recut. There are some cracks at rear portion of forend release escutcheon running back toward iron. Bright & shiny smooth bores. Mechanically very fine w/ tight action & strong ejectors. (19-5436/MGM23).
