Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 402640. Bbl. 32" w/ fixed full choke. Aftermarket Simmons lg. oval post VR. Brass front bead & white mid bead. NID rotary bolt action that cocks w/ cams. No. 5 factory engraving features vignettes w/ gold inlaid woodcock on right side & gold inlaid pheasant on left side. Balance of sides of receiver & floorplate have foliate engraving w/ punch dot backgrounds & fancy borders that extends to trigger guard, forearm iron & breech end of bbl. Beavertail forearm & capped pistol grip Monte Carlo stock of fancy walnut w/ fancy fleur de lis hand checkering. Toeline has brass shield w/ initials that appear to be "ELC". LOP: 14" over Ithaca sunburst pad. DAC: 1 13/16". DAMC: 1 7/8". DAH: 2 1/4". Weight: 8 lbs., 5 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Ithaca gun company letter signed by Sidney C Cleveland stating the following information "Your firearm is a Grade 5 Ithaca "Knick" single barrel trap gun in 12 Gauge which was shipped from the Ithaca gun Co. on February 18, 1950 to F.C. Murray, Detroit, Michigan. It was manufactured with 32" barrels. This gun was later acquired by Stanley Brock who won the Grand American in 1950 and was a member of the Trapshooting All American team in 1951. This gun was used to achieve his place in the Trapshooting hall of Fame as documented by a letter dated 9/3/03 from Stanley Guinn of Ocean Shores, Washington! / This gun represents a special part of American Trap Gun History. As one of 5740 "Knick" single barrel trap guns it was individually hand crafted, fitted and finished. The stock and forend were refinished by the Ithaca gun Co. LLC in the fall of '2003.". CONDITION: bbl. retains 90% lightly faded reblued finish. Action retains sm. amounts of case colors in protected areas w/ balance fading to gray. Wood has very good filled satin refinish w/ freshened checkering. Ejector is set to work as extractor only. Clean bright bore. (20-4199/DS). CURIO. $2,500-3,500.
