A highly sporterized version of the WW2 US military semi-automatic carbine chambered for .30 Carbine. Manufactured circa 1943 (5-43 barrel date). Carbine features a blue refinish, an approximately 18" barrel, protected blade front sight, rear sight removed, smooth curved trigger, dovetail insert in rear sight base, polished flat-top bolt, rotary trigger guard mounted manual safety, magazine release marked with the letter "M", 'Type 3' barrel band and bayonet lug, and accepts detachable box magazines. The sporterized gloss hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped Monte Carlo shoulder stock, smooth forend with low cut wood, four rivet handguard, and a checkered black plastic buttplate with a white spacer. A 2-7x32mm scope with a tactical reticle utilizing hold-over and windage markings. The scope is mounted using 1" two-piece rings, and a single piece Weaver style mount. The receiver ring is marked 'U.S. CARBINE, CAL. .30 M1,' and the barrel is marked 'INLAND MFG. DIV., GENERAL MOTORS, 5-43.' 'INLAND DIV., 451078' is marked at the rear of the receiver, and 'INLAND' is marked on the trigger housing. The refinished bluing retained is approximately 98% with light edge wear, and extremely minor handling marks. The trigger housing has turned plum. Metal displays no rust, but there is evidence of minor pitting before the rifle was refinished. Metal deformation can be seen in the rear barrel band's screw slot. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the action is smooth and crisp. The furniture wood is not original, and is in good condition with superficial handling blemishes, and small cracks at the tang. The scope's sight picture is bright and clear. Six-digit serial number suggests that this has a model 'T4' serial. Rifle includes one magazine total.
Condition is NRA Good as refinished.
