Austrian Gendarmerie marked U.S. military magazine fed semi-automatic service rifle chambered in .30 Carbine, manufactured circa 1942. Features a parkerized finish, 18" unmarked barrel, shrouded blade front sight, sliding adjustable rear aperture sight, wide barrel band with bayonet lug, two-rivet hand guard with wide groove, rotating safety, push button M2 magazine release, 15 round magazine, smooth trigger, milled triggerguard, round bolt, and smooth walnut pistol grip shoulder stock with low-wood forend, oval cut oiler slot, & textured metal buttplate. Markings: Barrel Band - "D" inside a diamond. Rear Sight - "SA" & [Crossed Cannons]. Operating Slide - "ROCK-OLA" & " 9175" Trigger Housing "INLAND" logo, "LGKNO" & "1935" Magazine Catch underlined "M" Forend "Z" Stock - "260", "125 6777", "TRIMBLE,TN", "NPM/JA" inside a square & [Crossed Cannons]. The finish of the rifle has thinned with a large portion of the metal surfaces in-the-white showing scattered pin prick pitting. Action is smooth, the four land bore is excellent and the wood stocks are good with blemishes & a 7.5" repaired crack in the underside of the forend. Condition is NRA Good. ***C&R Firearm***
