Five Shillings Oliver Wolcott Jr. Compl." Oliver Wolcott Jr. was the son of Oliver Wolcott, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. He succeeded Alexander Hamilton as Secretary of the Treasury (1795). He was presiding officer of the Connecticut Constitutional Convention in 1817. He was Governor of Connecticut from 1817 to 1827.
