Iver Johnson "Pinkerton" Double Action Cartridge Revolver, with associated beaded leather holster, NVSN, .32 RF cal., 3" round hinged top-break barrel with full-length rib marked "Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Mass. U.S.A./Patd. Apr. 6 66, Feb. 15 67, May 10 87, Dec. 26 93, Pat's Pending" in two lines, fluted 5-shot cylinder, fancy checkered hard rubber two-piece grips having the Iver Johnson "Owl's Head" logo in a circular cartouche at top. "Pinkerton" is etched in large block letters within a flowing riband on right side of frame. Condition is very good+, retaining approx. 80%-85% original nickel, the losses mainly confined to left side of the barrel; trigger guard has turned to brown with traces of blue and some case colors showing. Grips are very good with mostly sharp checkering and decorative motifs. Action is smooth and tight; bore appears clean. Holster is very good and complete, with sound beading decoration.
