KNUCKLE-DUSTER REVOLVER. Cal. 32RF. S# 16086. It is estimated that about 2,900 brass frame revolvers were made. This example has "MY FRIEND" and patent dates on the left side of the top frame strap. The sides of the all-metal grip with finger hole are engraved with a large, open-shaded scroll. The S# is on the bottom of the trigger guard bow, and the last two digits are stamped on the axle pin and rear of the five-shot cylinder. CONDITION: good. All original silver plating is gone; brass is well toned. The steel cylinder shows considerable overall pitting and is cleaned to mostly brown. Bores are lightly pitted. Mechanically good. (01-24403/MGM). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,500.
