Full polish with active hamon. No chips of bends in blade. Used in Tameshigiri otherwise known as the body cutting test. Forged by Yamaura Kuranosuke Hidetoshi from Shinano no Kuni. Made October 20th 1837 at Tenmanokami. The cutter who performed the test is Seigo Yamada. Blade measures 17 1/4 inches. Tang measures 14 1/4 inches. Wooden shaft measures 37 3/4 inches. Includes translation. This lot has a reserve.

BIDDING
