Overall length: 33 1/2". Blade length: 21 3/4". The blade has an irregular, wavy hamon with a plain copper habaki. There are three seppa below and one seppa above. The iron tsuba features a gold-inlaid aquatic leaf on water motif. The nakago has a single mekugi-ana and is not signed. The fuchi is gilded brass with a stippled motif and the kashira is black lacquer. The tsuka has gold-highlighted elaborate menuki with black same and white silk tsuka-ito. Saya has an animal skin covering with a scroll metal tip. There are three rings securing the covering and a white silk tie over lacquer at the top. CONDITION: blade has an excellent polish. The tsuba shows some oxidation. The tsuka appears to have been reworked, and the saya shows light overall wear with some minor losses. (02-21142/BF). $800-1,200.
