Cal. 7.7 Jap. S# 77602. All visible numbers match including the correct dust cover. Bbl. 25 1/2". Ladder aperture rear sight graduated to 1500 meters. AA wings are not present leaving the attaching screws in place. Inverted V front sight w/ protective ears. Receiver has intact "mum" & type 99 characters. Left rail has Nagoya arsenal marking. Bolt handle has oval knob. Checkered notched safety knob. Cleaning rod not readily removed. Three screw upper band. Lower band retains modern replacement monopod. Hardwood stock set w/ long handguard, two piece buttstock, sm. recoil bolt, cup buttplate plus a two screw rear swivel. Period tan web sling stitched in place. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 15 3/4" fullered blade bayonet. High condition bayonet is marked on right ricasso w/ interlocking circles & “M” w/ arrow “National Denki Company”. Cross guard has curved quillon. Smooth hardwood grips; birds head pommel w/ flat sides. Steel scabbard w/ correct brown leather frog. Bayonet is in very good condition retaining most of its original blue finish. Steel scabbard has light wear w/ spots of fine oxidation & several sm. dents. Frog has wear & scuffing w/ intact stitching. CONDITION: stock set has original finish w/ light to mod. Wear & scattered handling marks. Forend has noticeable scratches on the left side from improper removal of lower band. Metal retains 75% original blue finish w/ thinning & light wear plus peppery oxidation.
