Japanese All-Metal NCO officers sword with scabbard. Full length katana with curved single edge blade and fuller to the top section. Engraved with red highlighted numbers to the top of the fuller (147694). Tsuba thick metal casting in bronze finish. Sleeve to the base of the grip in bronze finish with three marks to one side including an excentric caricature. All-metal faux wrapped grip in zinc metal. Scabbard in all metal with gilt painted finish. Size 38 1/4" L, Blade 27 3/8" L. Condition: wear to finish overall with a slight discoloration to the top of the blade. Wear as shown to blade and scabbard. Provenance: Ex-Los Angeles Estate

By participating in this auction bidders agree that all lots are sold as is without any warrants or representations with respect to the lots. The auctioneer retains the right to reject any bid and to withdraw or pass any lot at his or her absolute discretion. When identical absentee bids are submitted the auctioneer will accept the first bid presented at his or her discretion. The highest bidder as determined by the auction house shall be responsible to pay for the hammer, buyer's premium and any applicable sales tax. Ownership of lots shall not be transitioned to the respective winning bidder until the auction house is satisfied with all funds being transferred and cleared to the auction house's account. All sales are final. Buyers have 10 days to arrange for removal of lots from the auction houses facility. After 10 days the auction house reserves the right to charge a $5 storage fee for each additional day until the lots have been removed. The auction house reserves the right to relist and sell any lots which have accrued a storage fee larger than the hammer plus buyer's premium total for a given lot. Shipping and safe delivery of the lots is the buyer's responsibility. The auction house reserves the right to update or remove any lot listed at the auction house's discretion.
