This rare find is a fixed blade 4” blade with horn handle, the handle has three rings to adorn the handle, John has been known to use exotic woods and sometimes Mastodon Ivory in his handle designs.
John Toner is a renowned knife maker from Arizona.
He is known for exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. He creates handmade knives of the highest quality, that are both beautiful and functional. John started making knives more than 35 years ago.
John's knives are not only unique but made with some of the rarest materials available
Over the last few decades John has donated knives to support wildlife conservation organizations fundraising efforts. In 2012 John was inducted into the Wildlife for Tomorrow Hall of Fame.
The Knife sits on slab of hardwood, is positioned a top an elk burl and rests on a 3 point mule deer antler. The antler burl has been cared to resemble the head of an eagle, simply amazing the detail in the carved head. .
This knife has never been used. The model is a straight point skinner and it is made of ATS34. The dimensions are 9" overall and the blade is 4" long. This is a very beautiful knife.
