this unusual johnson automatics indoor target gun was manufactured in the 1940s as a low-power indoor training and target rifle. The rifle features a molded brown composite stock with integral pistol grips and a simple tubular barrel assembly, giving it a distinctly streamlined mid-century appearance. These novelty and gallery-style target guns were designed for inexpensive indoor practice using a rubber-band to shoot bbs and are now seldom encountered, especially in such complete cosmetic condition. the rifle remains in good condition with handling wear, scratches, scuffs, and some finish loss on the composite stock and metal components. There are no chips or cracks. The rifle is currently non-functional due to the missing cocking piece and rubber band assembly. The sights remain present, and the overall appearance retains strong vintage display appeal with an unmistakably period-correct aesthetic. This is an uncommon and visually distinctive piece of american recreational shooting history from the postwar era.
