Johnson Model of 1941 Semi-Automatic Rifle, with bayonet, #B6925, .30-06 cal., 22'' barrel, parkerized finish, walnut stock, blade front sight with protecting ears and adjustable aperture rear sight. Marked on top of chamber ''CAL.30-06 SEMI-AUTO ''JOHNSON AUTOMATICS'' MODEL OF 1941 MADE IN PROVIDENCE R.I. U.S.A.''. Right side of receiver is marked with a star over ''CRANSTON ARMS CO'' within an inverted triangle. Number on bolt is mismatched (B9621). Condition overall is fine with approx. 95% finish remaining on the metal, showing light surface wear mostly to the exposed high edges of the metal. There is also light surface frosting to the drum magazine and light scratches to the rear sight. Wood is very good with a chip at the tang, old dents and scratches, and overall darkening. Action is smooth, bright bore is very good with very good rifling. Drum magazine and follower appear to operate smoothly. No visible import marks. Bayonet is marked with an ''08'' on top of muzzle ring. Condition to the bayonet overall is good, with most of the finish worn from the point area and an overall patina to the metal surfaces. The tip has a small dent and the latch operates smoothly. Scabbard is near excellent with soft pliable leather, showing scuffs and darkening. Est.: $4,000-$6,000. (C&R)
