Andre Morin, owner of Katahdins Shadow Outfitters,located in Linneus, Maine, has come up with a super donation this year, a 2 bear hunting AND trapping adventure that can be done in the same week. This donation includes a full week lodging at his very comfortable camp with 3 hot meals daily,a fully guided 6 day traditional hunt over bait for 1 black bear, as well as additionally being able to trap and harvest a second bear. The hunt can be taken between Sept.1 to Sept. 22, 2024 or moved to 2025.Also included are skinning, quartering, and freezing of your bear.Not included are your license( varying between $150-$250), depending on weapon used,butchering, which can be arranged locally,and gratuities. A short and easy on line course is required by the state of Maine for trapping,at a cost of $35, which the outfitter can assist you with.Other hunters are welcome at $2950 each for bait hunting or $4450 per person for both bait hunting and trapping.Non hunters are welcome at $1500.Andre controls and sets baits on 130 square miles of timber leases,and Maine is the ONLY state left, that you can still trap bears.
