Full stocked "Kentucky" style rifle signed in script upon the BBL G or K Kennery, lock is stamped Demuth - Warranted. Possibly K Kennery of Lancaster and York Co. Penn. However the script is hard to decipher and not a certain attribution. The rifle measures 56 3/4" overall with 41" octagon BBL of medium weight, and about 56-62 caliber rifled bore, the BBL is secured by 3 keys and there are 2 screws in the lock plate, circa 1820-40s by style, the lock has been expertly repaired using a modern frizzen and spring. The stock shows natural fiddle back in the stock and inlayed bone around simple patch box. The front sight has been replaced in original dove tail. The metal condition is good with some light to moderate pitting and normal aging. The stock shows small imperfections and minor damage and loss. From the Larry Shelton estate collection with his #1 indicator on his inventory as the 1st Kentucky he purchased in 1952 for $60, in the Sacramento gold rush area.
Condition is NRA Good. Antique Firearm
