PA Elk Rut Experience - Sept 22-24, 2026
A truly unique outdoor adventure for four people during the Pennsylvania rut.
Included: overnight accommodations, a horse-drawn wagon ride through Elk Country and an after-dark experience in some of the most wild country that Pennsylvania has to offer.
Overnight accommodation will be provided at Eagle Lodge on Tuesday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 23. Just a short drive from Benezette, this family furnished cabin includes ample living space and relaxing atmosphere right in the heart of the wildlife viewing in Elk County.
Wagon Ride - this 45-minute wagon ride, pulled by an experienced team of Belgium draft horses, is set in the center of our 245-acre property and features views of elk, deer, turkey, and other wildlife. The ride will depart on Wednesday, September 23 at 6pm. Binoculars, cameras and appropriate weather attire are encouraged.
Elk County After Dark - Experience the bugles of a herd bull, the mews of a matriarch elk cow, clashing of antlers, the howls of coyotes, the hooting of owls, and so much more! This event will take place after the wagon ride and will consist of a small grazing table with an educational program, followed by a trail walk for a relaxing evening.
