Vintage American made side-by-side double barrel side-lock shotgun chambered for 2-3/4" 12 Gauge shells, and manufactured by Hunter Arms Company out of Fulton, NY. These shotguns were manufactured between 1898 and 1914 with 57,096 produced. Shotgun features color-case locks and receiver, blued refinished barrels, approximately 30" barrels marked 'ARMOR STEEL', choked 'Full' in both barrels (measured with a drop-in gauge), brass bead front sight, extractor, checkered top lever, checkered sliding tang safety, smooth curved double triggers, and internal hammer. The English walnut furniture consists of a straight gripped shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, smooth splinter forend, 14" length-of-pull to the front trigger, 1-3/4" drop at the comb, 2-1/2" drop at the heel, and black plastic serrated butt plate. The blued finish retained is approximately 94% with edge wear, blemishes, and the finish turning plum. The receiver is showing patina with the finish turning a mottled dull gray color on the sides, and brown tones on the bottom of the receiver and trigger guard. Metal displays some spots of rust along the barrel with small amounts of pin-prick pitting, and there is also some pin-prick pitting on the receiver as well. Barrels show a few small external dents. Furniture wood is very good, considering its age, with minor dings and scratches. The action falls slowly under its own weight, and the top lever rests in the centerline of the tang. The bores are bright and shiny.
Condition is NRA Good.
