Antique side-by-side double barrel shotgun chambered for 2 ¾” 12 gauge shells. Manufactured in Syracuse, NY circa 1884-1885.
Features browned 29 3/8” stub twist barrels with raised concave rib, extractor, brass bead front sight, case hardened receiver / sideplates, exposed hammers with checkered spurs, floating firing pins, double triggers, point checkered walnut splinter forend and round semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with factory hard rubber buttplate & 14 1/4” LOP.
The barrels display a twist pattern with approximately 30% brown finish intact. The receiver exhibits only trace amounts of case hardening with the balance displaying a mottled grey / brown patina. The barrels are receiver both have small amounts of light surface rust. The action is sound with very good lock-up & the top lever left of center, the bores are good with pin prick pitting and the walnut stocks are good with semi-worn checkering, blemishes, & hairline cracks behind the lockplates.
