Double barrel side by side shotgun. Hammerless Sidelock manufactured between 1912-1950, this example probably circa 1926. Features blued finish, engraved & case colored receiver & sideplates, checkered walnut beavertail forend with schnabel tip, walnut shoulder stock with checkered wrist & semi-pistol grip, high comb, composition grip cap, 32" wide vent rib barrels (marked "Hunter Arms Co", choked FULL/FULL), ivory bead front sight, tang safety, top lever, single trigger, barrel selector slide next to trigger, ejectors, 14" length of pull (13" to end of wood), ventilated rubber recoil pad. Bores are very good. Retains 80% dark blue on barrels, showing thinning, graying and edge losses on the remainder. Case colors are good, with some bright blue and dark grays, overall beginning to fade to a dull light gray. Floral scroll engraving covers 75% of action surfaces, full coverage on sideplates. Forend is very good, with some finish loss. Butt appears made from two pieces dovetailed together, tight seam, fancy figure and feather grain, overall very good condition, appears lightly varnished. Recoil pad is a bit hard. Research indicates less than 7000 'Specialty Grade' guns made. Condition is NRA Very Good *** C&R Firearm ***
