Built in the Czech Republic city of Brno, this Mauser 98 heritage rifle features a true full sized magnum action, 3 leaf express sights, and an American style stock of select Turkish walnut. The controlled round action has 5 round capacity and a fixed ejector. Also known worldwide as the Brno 602, this is the classic rifle for heavy and dangerous game. Proceeds from this sale will be applied towards the current maintenance project at SCI’s American Wilderness Leadership School near Jackson, Wyoming. Established in 1976 with the vision of providing educators with a useful hands-on experience that they can bring home to their classrooms, AWLS has provided an accredited conservation education program for nearly 6,000 teachers who reach more than a million students annually and a challenging experience for 1,700 high school students. It offers hands-on lessons focused around the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation as-well-as engaging take home lessons on conservation education that have been integrated into K-12 math, science, language arts, social studies and physical education. Educators may choose from one of six eight-day Workshop sessions, June 11th through August 10th. This year the SWMT chapter will be sending two educators from two different school to this summer program.
