FROM ANCIENT GREECE & LURISTAN. A fine group of ancient bladed weapons excavated from the Near East province of Luristan & adjacent areas of Asia Minor. The group includes 20 sm., mostly trilobed, Greek arrowheads roughly dating from 100 to 400 BC. / The remainder of the group appears to be of Luristan origin & roughly dates from 800 BC to 1300 BC. The group includes 1 javelin head. / 2 Sword blades. / 2 Spear heads. / 6 Daggers or dagger blades. / 1 Axe head. / 14 arrowheads of various sizes & forms. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: a lg. assemblage of paperwork relating to the identification & dating of Luristan & Greek points & blades along w/provenance & a receipt from the sale of the entire collection from 2019. This is a portion of the entire collection. CONDITION: all pieces have varying degrees of green verdigris. All seem solid but show the effects of being buried for more than 2,000 years.
