FORREST CAVALRY CAMPS. About 400 items including numerous projectiles, especially Confederate Selma Arsenal 3-ring minié balls that Roger Ballard all personally found. The flats are marked “Forrest Camp-Gainesville, Alabama, Blakeley 1865, Shiloh or Gravely Springs. Most all the relics associated w/ cavalry but there are gun parts among the broken spurs, buttons, & personal items that soldiers would have had. CONDITION: good to very good overall for excavated relics, mostly uncleaned & “as found” w/ ground action. PROVENANCE: Collection of Roger Ballard. (02-14705/JS). $1,000-1,200.
