LATE WW2 CORRECT WINCHESTER M1 CARBINE
SERIAL NUMBER: 6545499. BARREL: 18". CALIBER: .30 CARBINE. MANUFACTURED: 1944. Made late 1944/early 1945. Barrel is marked "W", with a Winchester proof. No import marks found. Winchester marked trigger housing, hammer, slide (M2 Type), and bolt (round). Late War band/bayonet lug, being marked with a "C", which is correct for Winchester. Stock is marked with a "W" in the sling channel, and has a crossed cannons ordnance cartouche on the right side. Four rivet hand guard has a "W" marked on the inside ledge. "W" marked recoil plate. Standard late war blade front sight and stamped adjustable rear. Push button safety and late war M2 style magazine release (both Winchester). Original parkerized finish and oiled wood furniture. Period green canvas sling (unmarked), and metal oil bottle. No magazine included. CONDITION: Metal is excellent overall, with a few spots of wear. Wood has a few minor scuffs, scrapes and scratches. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Fine mechanics. C&R
