TRIGGER. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 5/8". S# 35082. Bbl. 26 1/16" w/ flat matted rib are engraved "KRUPP FLUID" "STEEL" on tops. Bottoms of bbls. are marked for steel type & w/ S#. There are no grade markings. Case hardened action w/ in frame ejectors & later style cocking hook marked w/ S# & grade on water table. Action features automatic safety, cocking indicators & non selective Lefever single trigger. Action & lockplates engraved w/ Lefever's usual superbly cut scroll w/ in geometric & line borders at about 30% coverage. This surrounds usual very finely detailed dogs w/ pointing pointer in tall grass on left plate & alert setter on right. A spaniel's head is on trigger guard bow, S# is on tang. Well marbled & fiddle figured European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 13 1/2" over Silver type pad. Single trigger blade is in back position. The LOP would measure approx. 14 1/4" from a standard front trigger. The comb is of unusual low profile as is sometimes found on guns & rifles of this period & is quite possibly original. Point pattern checkering is at grip & a vacant silver oval is on toeline. Matching splinter forend w/ steel tip has shaped steel cover to friction release. MEASUREMENTS: BARRELS: Bore diameter: R .737 L .738. Restriction: R .001 (IC) L .010 (IC). Min. Wall Thickness: R .022 L .018 at 3" area on bottom approx. 12" back from muzzle, the rest mostly .021 to .025. STOCK: LOP: 13 1/2". DAC: 2". DAH: 2 5/8" Cast: 1/2". WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 7oz. CONDITION: good to fine. Bbls. retaining most of what appears to be an old reblue, action & locks retain 20-30% case hardening color w/ some scattered areas of pitting. Stocks retain a good amount of finish, possibly original, checkering considerably worn. There is evidence of repair to left side of grip behind lockplate. There is a sm. crack extending onto right side. Stock repair left side of wrist now flexes. Bores are good to fine, shiny w/ some frosting & 1 or 2 minor dents. Action is tight. Mechanically fine.
