Scott and Sandy Sallee of Black Mountain Outfitters are bringing one heck of a mountain mule to Elk Camp! They have been training mountain mules for years and have sold oodles of them at Jake and Kay Clark’s infamous Mule Days. Legacy, a six-year old veteran riding mule, has mingled with the mountain A-List crowd, but just because he has rubbed saddles with celebrities such as Clint Black and Red Steagall, don’t think he’s let it go to his head. Maybe his ears, but not his head. This longlegged friend is so gentle that Scott has even caught a Yellowstone cutthroat trout from his saddle! There’s not a lot that spooks Legacy, and he’s had a close encounter with a grizzly a time or two. Come on in to the auction hall on Friday to see this beautiful creature! And if you’re looking for an incredible mountain riding mule, you’ll want to raise your hand. Scott and Sandy have contributed more than $30,000 to the RMEF’s Partners in Conservation program.

Auction Terms of Sale
The auctioneer has final authority on the amount bid for any item and/or the identity of the purchaser of any item. By bidding on an item or service, you are entering into a legal binding contract to purchase that item or service. All sales are final.

Firearms
All firearms will be shipped from RMEF headquarters in Missoula, MT to an FFL (Federal Firearms License) dealer of the winner/buyer’s choice. It is the responsibility of any raffle winner or auction buyer to make arrangements with the FFL and to know the local firearms laws. Before taking possession, the winner/buyer will be required to complete a background check. If for any reason the winner/buyer is not eligible to receive the firearm, it is not the responsibility of RMEF to provide an alternate or to issue any refunds.
Hunts and Trips
Additional expenses not included in donated hunts and trips may include but are not limited to gratuity, taxes, taxidermy, transportation, meat packaging and processing, and shipping.
Tax Deductions/IRS
The market value or estimated fair market value will be provided for each auction item. IRS rules permit a charitable contribution for the amount paid in excess of fair market value. Only that part of the payment made with the intention of making a gift and for which the taxpayer receives no consideration qualifies as a contribution. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the tax deductibility of any item purchased at auction.
