Long time, repeat donors, Rachel and Olly Burke of Leithen Valley Trophy Hunts, are offering a Red Stag hunt on the South Island of New Zealand for 1 hunter and 1 non-hunter in 2020 if available, or 2021. Within a matter of hours, you can experience tropical coastlines, rugged mountain peaks and fertile river valleys cloaked by dense forests.
Hunt arrival and departure will be Queenstown, NZ and the hunt duration is 4 nights. Transportation during the hunt will be mostly on foot and in a vehicle, field preparation and trophy fees are included for one Red Stag up to 340 SCI. Accommodations, meals and guide are included. The Red Stag hunt takes place on their beautiful private ranch on the South Island where you will see numerous free-roaming quality trophies each day. The terrain is moderate hill country and the valleys are full with beech forest. Weapon options are rifle, bow or muzzleloader and a weapons permit is required.
This hunt can be upgraded to a larger Stag or other trophies (Tahr and Chamois) and additional game can be added per the outfitter’s price list. Cost of additional hunter is $350 per night and non-hunter is $250 per night.
