REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spl. S# V329264. Per factory letter, this revolver left the factory on June 3, 1943 & purchased by the Hartford Ordnance for shipment to Canada. The parkerized revolver with matching numbered 4" barrel, 6 shot fluted cyl., extractor & two piece smooth walnut grips. Frame has lanyard loop on butt & "US PROPERTY G.H.D" Guy H. Drewry proof on top strap. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Smith & Wesson letter dated Nov. 28, 1978 detailing the history of the Victory model & information provided above. CONDITION: very fine. Overall 95% original rough sandblast parkerized finish showing faint cyl. turn line & scattered light wear spots. Near excellent case colors on trigger & hammer. Near excellent grips. Near excellent bright bore with strong rifling showing scattered pinprick fouling spots. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Edward Scott Meadows. (24-722/MD). CURIO. $500-800.
