Cal. 303 British. S# B20434. Bbl. 25 1/4" plus front sight blade marked w/ "*" & "-015". Mfg. 1928 w/ matching numbered nose cap, rear sight, forend & bolt (underside of handle w/ *F2117) having "M" marked head. Cartridge cutoff receiver having import mark on right base of cartridge guide. Stained hardwood stock set w/ brass buttplate. Swivels on forend band & nose cap plus lanyard loop on trigger guard. Modern brown sporting sling. "III" on safety lever. MAGS: 1 good plus 10 rd. w/ broad arrow, crown over "9B" & "4" at base; follower marked "3MA". Wilkerson bayonet w/ 17" fuller blade marked "1907" & "8 '17". Leather covered scabbard w/ blued metal ends. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: tan canvas carry bag w/ unused appearance having attached gray brass ended sling clearly marked "J. & A. H. 1944" plus broad arrow. CONDITION: especially nice overall appearance w/ some finish loss on rear sight ears & charging guide. Cleaned oxidation on bolt body & slight patina appearance to bolt handle. Very light occasional stock marks. Very faint stamping on right side of buttstock; not readable. Fair to good bayonet w/ patina in handle area. Oiled appearance to leather on scabbard plus light marks & patina on metal ends. Near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: from the estate collections of Charles P. Obremski. (22-1358/NW). CURIO. $300-500.
