FIELD GUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 59530 (1958). The 28" bbls. with narrow ventilated rib are marked for MOD and FULL chokes. Browning St. Louis address and gauge designation are on top bbl, left side of rib. Right side is marked with patent numbers and “MADE IN BELGIUM”. Blued superposed action is engraved in grade 1 style with about 50% coverage light scroll. “Browning” is marked on bottom. Action features gold plated single selective trigger. Round knob long tang buttstock of lightly streaked European walnut measures 14 1/4" over Pachmayr “Whiteline” trap pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Field forend matches well. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: DAH: 2 1/2". DAC: 1 9/16". LOP: 14 1/4". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 7 lb. 13 oz. CONDITION: fine, bbls. and action retaining 70-80% original blue with considerable spotting and discoloration, mostly on bottom bbl. and scattered on right side of action. Spotting may clean. Stocks have a considerable number of scratches in their original finish. Checkering is lightly worn. Trigger retains less than half of its gold. Bores appear to be bright and shiny with some striations and leading, but without major visible flaws. Action is tight. Mechanically fine. (22-4056/MGM). CURIO. $600-900.
