LOT OF 10 SWISS BAYONETS.

This lot consists of 10 various Swiss bayonets. 1. The first is an M1918 bayonet marked "ELSENER SCHWYZ VICTORIA". The bayonet rates very good showing minor oxidation staining. 2. The second is an M1918 bayonet w/ scabbard & leather frog. This bayonet is numbered "53393&"S and marked "WAFFENABRIK NEUHAUSEN". This bayonet is in very good condition. The frog is marked "GSCH 82" & shows some crazing & flaking. 3. The third bayonet is an 1889 Schmidt Rubin bayonet w/ scabbard. The bayonet is numbered "265606" & marked "WAFFENFABRIK NEUHAUSEN". This bayonet shows moderate oxidation staining & some light scratches. 4. the fourth bayonet is an 1889 Schmidt Rubin bayonet w/ leather frog & scabbard. The bayonet is numbered "410134" & marked "WAFFENFABRIK NEUHAUSEN". The bayonet shows some light oxidation staining & dried grease. The leather frog is marked "Jos. Christen Sattler Wolfenschiessen 87". The frog shows scattered crazing & flaking. 5. the fifth bayonet is an M1918 w/ scabbard. The blade is marked "ELSENER SCHWYZ". The bayonet is in very good plus condition overall. 6. the sixth bayonet is an M1914 sawback. The bayonet is marked "HS" & numbered "3913". The crossguard & pommel are turning to a gray patina, while the blade remains mostly bright. 7. the seventh bayonet is an M1889 bayonet w/ leather frog & scabbard. The bayonet is numbered "374350" & marked "WAFFENFABRIK NEUHAUSEN". This bayonet shows areas turning gray w/ some oxidation staining. The frog has an illegible maker's marking, it shows scattered crazing & flaking. 8. the eighth bayonet is an M1871 Vetterli socket bayonet. No scabbard is present for this bayonet. This bayonet is numbered "122511". The metal is turning to a dull gray w/ scattered oxidation. 9. the ninth bayonet is an M1914 sawback w/ scabbard. The bayonet is numbered "758533" & marked "ELSENER SCHWYZ". The bayonet shows some light scratches & fine oxidation staining. 10. the last bayonet is an M1887 Pioneer sawback w/ scabbard. The blade is marked "SJG NEUHAUSEN". the crossguard & pommel appear chrome plated w/ some flaking & oxidation staining. The blade shows some light oxidation staining. (02-16391/MJC). $400-700.
