Several drum feeding devices, all 50 rd. capacity, in the following condition: first drum is matte black finish w/ front plate reading “MAGAZINE TYPE “L” / THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN / 50 CARTRIDGES CAL .45 / FOR 1928 MODEL WIND TO / 9 OR 11 CLICKS.” Rear plate reads: “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP. / NEW YORK / REGISTERED IN THE / U.S. PATENT OFFICE”. Front of drum on body at 6 o’clock position has Thompson bullet logo & “wind to 9 or 11 clicks”. Finish is complete w/ only few light handling marks. Second drum is a two-tone matte black finish. Rear body lighter color while black face plate retains normal satin finish black. Body reads “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION / WEST HURLY, NEW YORK, U.S.A.” above Thompson bullet trademark logo. Third drum is a flat black parkerized finish. “MAGAZINE TYPE “L” / THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN / 50 CARTRIDGES CAL .45 / FOR 1928 MODEL WIND TO / 9 OR 11 CLICKS.” Rear plate reads: “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP. / BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT / REGISTERED IN THE / U.S. PATENT OFFICE”. Below data plate engraved w/ letter “U”. Front of drum on body at 6 o’clock position has Thompson bullet logo & “wind to 9 or 11 clicks”. Finish is dark w/ complete coverage & only light handling marks. Fourth drum is a matte black rear w/ satin front plate. Front body at 6 o’clock position reads “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION / WEST HURLEY, NEW YORK U.S.A.” above Thompson bullet trademark logo. Coverage is complete w/ only light scratches & handling marks, primarily in areas of mechanical intervention. Fifth drum is in what appears to be factory packaging & appears to be new. Finish is a satin finish blue. Front plate reads: “MAGAZINE TYPE “L” / THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN / 50 CARTRIDGES CAL .45 / WIND TO 9 OR 11 CLICKS.” Rear data plate reads: “The Seymour Products Co. / Seymour, Conn.” Though it appears to be new, there are few light scratches on the backplate at approx. 5 o’clock. Sixth drum is in what appears to be in factory packaging & appears to be new. Finish is matte black body w/ satin black face plate. Front data plate reads: “MAGAZINE TYPE “L” / THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN / 50 CARTRIDGES CAL .45 / FOR 1928 MODEL WIND TO / 9 OR 11 CLICKS.” Rear plate reads: “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP. / NEW YORK / REGISTERED IN THE / U.S. PATENT OFFICE”. The body reads: “Wind to 9 or 11 clicks” below Thompson trademark bullet logo. Condition appears to be new in cardboard box marked: “373-20 DRUM HOLDER / J.D.” w/ Valentine international care & feeding instructions. Seventh drum is matte black w/ blued finish. No markings on data plate or body. Internals are absent other than drum axis pin & winder. Condition is used w/ normal handling marks & light patina scattered over body. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2 canvas drum bags marked “U.S.” on front flap outside, “R. M. CO. 1942” inside flap. They appear to be in unissued condition. (02-13776-9/JZ). $800-1,600.
