LUGER 1915 DATED 1914 ARTILLERY SEMI-AUTO PISTOL.

Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 7459. Bbl. 8" fin shaped front sight w/ fine tune plus fine tune rear (missing slide). Mfg. 1915 w/ matching numbers on all metal parts & grips that additionally have "2" & "W" on left plus "1, W & 0" on right. Strawed sm. parts plus appropriate receiver & bbl. proofs. Appropriate internal areas are in the white. Rear of frame stamped "4.B.112.53.". MAGS: fair appearing 8 rd. w/ numerous spots of oxidation on left side by spine plus staining throughout. Wood base w/ chip on right dimple & sm. marks on left; numbered 7930k. CONDITION: good plus appearance w/ spots of light oxidation mostly on left side flat. Under grips has more oxidation showing mainly on right of front strap & bottom of safety bar. Thinning finish in grip area mixed w/ peppery oxidation. About near excellent toggle assembly. Receiver & proofs indicate original finish except light bulge in bbl. about 2" from muzzle plus mid section of bbl. cleaned of noticeable pitting w/ touchup blue added; light pitting in muzzle area plus occasional peppery oxidation. Light function wear & missing rear sight slide. Faded straw colors w/ gray tone; ejector best appearing. Very good appearance of right grip w/ very faint marks plus very light hand wear. Left grip similar but w/ vertical crack at lower left front for about 1" & noticeable chip by safety lever. Good bore w/ darkened appearance having even light to moderate pitting throughout in addition to previously mentioned bulge. PROVENANCE: By descent, from the Albert Boardman II of Rye, N.Y.
