This spectacular hunt is back for the 4th year at NBUs auction. Dont miss this opportunity to hunt giant Desert Bighorn Sheep through La Palmosa Outfitters in Cuatrocienegas, Coahuila, Mexico. The 100,000 acre La Palmosa Ranch is the result of a vision to restore native wildlife to the Chihuahuan desert of northern Coahuila and non-game species and to enhance and protect and the biodiversity of native flora and fauna. A 16-inch base is common, with most rams taken between 36-40 inches and lightly broomed. You could realistically expect to see rams that range from 174 to 182.
La Palmosa encompasses 156 square miles of spectacular desert, mesa and mountain topography ranging from 4,200' to 8,600' in elevation. Ranch headquarters is an immaculate five-star lodge with individual casitas lavishly appointed with exceptional artwork and Sante Fe-inspired antique furnishings for the enjoyment of family and friends. The quality of the rams is only outdone by the wonderful accommodations and staff.
Spanish hospitality, plush lodging, gourmet Mexican cuisine, and a recently completed spa elevate the comfort level on this trophy desert bighorn sheep hunt. The successful bidder will enjoy world-class accommodations, including private villas for all guests, meals by a full-time chef, a private spa, and a lodge with bar, poker and pool tables, and two dining rooms. Transportation during the hunt will include Jeeps and UTVs. The 7-day, free range hunt is planned for late 2020 or early 2021. If necessary, dates can be moved pending availability. If Travel Bans are in place, outfitter will work with successful bidder to reschedule.
The hunt includes up to TWO non-hunting guests. Hunt includes trophy fees, CITES fees, exportation brokerage fees to the US, and shipping of your trophy anywhere in the US. Helicopter pickup at the airport is available as an add on.
The winning of 2017s auction hunt took a great ram scoring 182 2/8; the previous years winner harvested another great ram that scored 179 1/8; and NBU member Dennis Sites harvested an extraordinary ram that scored 188 2/8.
For a first-hand reference, please speak to former NBU Director Tom Fennell, who went as a guest with last years hunter.
