Philippines, Large Moro Kris sword with a 5-wave to straight double edged blade in laminated steel of the 2oth century, approximately second quarter . Blade with engraved decoration at the thin fullers to the straight section of the blade. Chiseled with openwork to either side of the ricasso. Silver sleeve to base of the grip rewrapped with a bright green cord over wood, grip purposefully reversed. Fruit or burl wood pommel. Size 28 1/2" L, blade 21 3/4". Condition: cracks and wear overall with typical oxidization from age currently well preserved with a thin mineral oil or wax coating over metal components.. By participating in this auction bidders agree that all lots are sold as is without any warrants or representations with respect to the lots. The auctioneer retains the right to reject any bid and to withdraw or pass any lot at his or her absolute discretion. When identical absentee bids are submitted the auctioneer will accept the first bid presented at his or her discretion. The highest bidder as determined by the auction house shall be responsible to pay for the hammer, buyer's premium and any applicable sales tax. Ownership of lots shall not be transitioned to the respective winning bidder until the auction house is satisfied with all funds being transferred and cleared to the auction house's account. All sales are final. Buyers have 10 days to arrange for removal of lots from the auction houses facility. After 10 days the auction house reserves the right to charge a $5 storage fee for each additional day until the lots have been removed. The auction house reserves the right to relist and sell any lots which have accrued a storage fee larger than the hammer plus buyer's premium total for a given lot. Shipping and safe delivery of the lots is the buyer's responsibility. The auction house reserves the right to update or remove any lot listed at the auction house's discretion.
