Late/Post-War German Walther ac-45 "c" block GI Assembled P.38 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #9812c, 9mm cal., 4.9" barrel, blue finish, grooved reddish-brown phenolic grips, blade front sight, fixed rear sight with "U"-shaped groove, hammer drop safety, and lanyard loop. Includes two (2) blued steel magazines. Both are marked "jvd" and "WaA706" on the spine; one is marked "P38" on the left side. Right side of the slide is correctly marked with only "(eagle)359" Waffenamt. There is an additional "(eagle)359" on left side of the frame. As expected, the numbers do not match. No import marks. Pistol is in fine overall condition, retaining approx. 93%-95% blue, showing light wear at the muzzle, scattered marks across the barrel and slide. There are several small impressions to the front sight and base from when it was installed. Factory lettering and proof marks are legible. Grips are near excellent, showing normal light handling marks and a few scratches. Action, hold open, and hammer drop function properly. Bore rates near excellent overall and is bright throughout with well-defined rifling. One of the magazines displays signs of moderate use. The other has been refinished in matte blue/black and shows little wear. Est.: $700-$900. (C&R/PPT)
