This unit is in very good used condition and rates a 8/10 for condition..
Smooth action with good bore.. The Bolt and Reciever numbers do match..

This is a scarce SSA Co. rifles (standard small arms) built from 1915 to 1918.
The story of this unusual builder of parts and rifles is set out on page 172 of
The Lee Enfield the final edition by Ian Skennerton. This example shows the 1917
date and the SSA marking at the back end of the action.
This WW1 rifle has matching bolt, barrel, lug and wood and has a good bore,
finish and wood. The upper handguard has a repair but is sound.
This piece was originally built under the "Peddled Scheme" and is a very scarce
variation in most Lee Enfield Collections. Has all the typical markings of the WW1
peddled scheme rifle..

Included in this lot are 2 very nice lower full wood peices.. One is orginal and one is
a repro.
These are both in very good condition..
