Lithgow Enfield SMLE No.1 Mk. III bolt action rifle, .303 British caliber, serial #26746. The rifle is in good overall condition as sporterized. The rifle features a 25” barrel with a ramp front and military tangent rearsights. The barrel and action retain a significant amount of their military finish with numerous military proofs on the front ring and dated 1941 at the wrist. The smooth wood stocks have been redone and shortenedas sporterized. The stocks are in good condition with small mars and compressions. The butt stock ends with a brass butt plate with trap. The bore is fair, the action crisp and markings are sharp. Est.:$50-$100. (C+R).
