London Marked Bentley-Webley Revolver .36
SN: 1040 British made double-action-only percussion pocket pistol with an approximate .36 caliber bore, manufactured circa 1850's-1860's. Features a blued finish, 3 1/2" octagon bbl, brass cone front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, five-shot cylinder, loading leaver on the left side of the barrel, rounded trigger, bobbed hammer, hammer block safety on the left side of the frame, and two-piece checkered wood grips. Marked "LONDON No 1040" on the right side of the frame and with British proofs on the cylinder & barrel. The revolver appears cleaned as it is predominantly in-the-white with few traces of the original blued finish. It also shows some scattered dark oxidation, some pin prick pitting, a moderate ding on the side of the cylinder and a brown patina on the backstrap. The action has a timing issue but is otherwise functional, the bore is coated with a solid layer of surface rust, the markings are very good and the wood grips are very good with worn points. Condition is NRA Good. ***Antique Firearm*** From The John F Sukey Collection
