WWII era New Zealand military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British, manufactured in Canada circa 1943. Features a blued finish, 25.2" barrel with integral bayonet lugs, shrouded patridge front sight, receiver mounted flip-up “L” dual aperture rear sight marked for 300 & 600 yards, two barrel bands, serrated trigger, detachable 10 round magazine, manual safety on the left side of the receiver, sling swivels, integral charge loading guide cuts in the receiver, grooved full-length wood handguard, smooth full-length forend and straight grip shoulder stock with metal trapdoor buttplate. Unmarked matte black magazine. British proofs behind the triggerguard, including the "broad arrow” and the left side of the receiver is marked “No 4 Mk I*/LONG BRANCH/1943”. Rifle retains approximately 60% of its blued finish showing scattered wear/thinning and a small amount of scattered pitting on the receiver/bolt. Action is smooth, the two land bore appears good. The wood stocks are good with many blemishes. Someone has spray painted the front sight/barrel in white (will clean off). Also includes approx 40 rds ammo in plastic box, sling, spike bayonet with scabbard, spare magazine. Condition is NRA Good. C&R Firearm.
