Canadian military bolt action centerfire rifle chambered for .303 British, and receiver dated to 1943. Rifle was imported by Century Arms International out of St. Albans, VT. Rifle features a blued finish, an approximately 25" barrel, blade front sight with protector ears, receiver mounted flip peep rear sight, bayonet lug, 10-round detachable magazine, stripper clip bridge, serrated left rear receiver mounted manual safety, smooth curved trigger, turned down bolt handle, no magazine cut-off, and serrated trigger guard mounted magazine release. The hard wood furniture consists of a smooth semi-straight gripped shoulder stock with a hand stop, smooth forend with sling swivel on the rear barrel band, sling swivel on the bottom of the buttstock, full-length grooved handguard, and smooth brass butt plate with a trap door in the butt. Butt socket is marked 'FTR' (Factory Thorough Repair) below the serial number '53L7212', and the left receiver rail is marked 'No 4 Mk I*, LONG BRANCH, 1943'. Importer mark is on the bottom of the barrel towards the muzzle. The blued finish retained is approximately 75% with several components taking on a brown or mottled gray patina, edge wear, and handling marks. Metal displays not rust, but there are some scattered nick and dings from handling. Bore is bright and the rifling is visible. The action feels dry but seems to be working well. Wood furniture is in fair condition with scattered handling marks, but it has a tight fit with no cracks.
Condition is NRA Fair to Good.
