Lot WWI/WWII British Field Gear: 1.) Taylor-Hobson 1943 No.2 Mk III Binoculars with Canadian 1937 Pattern belt case. Brass body with pebbled black leather center. Four front screw heads are painted red with added red "W" indicting water proof nitrogen filled lenses. Condition is very good showing edge wear and handling marks. There is a chip missing from the right side eye piece and there are small specks of dirt visible on the interior of the lenses that will require restoration to remove, but the binoculars are still usable. Tan cotton Canadian carrying case is ink stamped "ZL&T LTD 1940(Broad Arrow C" under the lid. Condition is very good with slight fading to the color and loose stitching on the interior. All fittings are intact. 2.) British 1943 Mark III Prismatic Compass with Leather carrying case and strap. Brass construction with black enamel finish and a rotating bezel and lanyard ring. Condition is fair showing handling marks and scratches. The lens has a "fogged" appearance and the needle is not visible. The carrying case is made from polished brown leather and stamped "155". Condition is fair with light handling marks. 3.) British 1937 Pattern Small Pack with Accessories. Pack is made from tan cotton with blackened steel fittings and marked "D&M L 1954(Broad Arrow)/CN/AA/B 1018"under flap. Condition is excellent with bright color showing a small faint stain on the rear. 4.) British No.32 Telescope reticle adjustment tool, reproduction, unmarked, in excellent condition. 5.) British "DRESSING,FIRST AID,FIELD,CAMOUFLAGED,STERILE" dated "DEC 1973"excellent condition. 6.) British dark green helmet netting with securing cord, excellent condition with strong color and no rips or tears. 7.) Two rubberized rifle slings for British Lee Enfield rifles. Made from flat tan cotton with a rubberized interior and flat brass buckles. Each marked "B.S.LTD/1942" with a "Broad Arrow 198" inspector stamp. Condition is very good for both. 8.) Roll of British 2"x2"cotton patches for cleaning gun barrels, blue lines printed every two inches. Excellent condition. Est.: $400-$600/lot.
