Lot of Two (2) Reproduction Swords, with scabbards: (1). The first resembles a U.S. Revolutionary War era stirrup hilt cavalry sword, with a 34'' bright blade, having narrow and wide fullers. Guard and pommel are steel with grooved wood grip. Scabbard is leather with nickel-plated fittings and two hanging rings. OAL is 40-1/2''. Condition is very good, the blade needing a good cleaning. Pommel has light rust and does not appear to have been plated. Wood grip is nice. Scabbard is well made and in very good condition. (2) The second sword resembles a typical European heavy cavalry sword from the early to mid-1800's. The 33'' blade with a wide fuller and double-edged point area. The ricasso is marked ''India''. Four-branch guard, backstrap, and integral pommel are brass. Grip is leather-covered wood with a partial wire wrapping. Scabbard is heavy steel with a large drag. OAL is 41-1/2''. Condition is very good, the blade showing some scattered light rust near the ricasso that should clean well. Guard and pommel are in good condition. Leather covering of the grip shows some heavy scuffing and dings. Scabbard has light rust overall that should clean up. Est.: $100-$200/lot.
