One M1904 nose bag/feed bag: & #34; U.S.Q.M.C.& #34; printed above leather vent. Manufactured by The Perking Campbell Co. Dated July 31, 1917. Canvas bag with Leather bottom. *

One M1912 canvas feed bag: unused. & #34; U.S& #34; Stamped on the front. There are three variations of this bag known.

**In excellent condition.**

One M1912 grain bag: Another of the small pieces of equipment which were essential to support the cavalryman and his mount in the field, these Model 1912 grain bags are one of the relatively scarce pieces of the Model 1912 trial horse equipments. An idea which was introduced forty years before with the Model 1872 horse equipment, the grain bag provided the means for the soldier to carry 10 pounds of feed for his horse into the field, independent of a supply train or the stables at the post,

The bag is fitted with one cord tie to secure the open end and a second cord tie which is used to keep the feed grain divided into two equal amounts in order to balance the load.  The 1872 grain bag was intended to be carried on the saddle cantle, but the 1912 grain bag was to be carried on the pommel. Fashioned as a cylinder with one end stitched closed, this Model 1912 grain bag measures 28” long and 7 ½” wide, and is made, as described in the 1912 Cavalry Equipments Manual, made of “unbleached drilling”. As the horse cavalry passed into history and the saddles and related equipment was disposed of through surplus sales, these Model 1912 grain bags were the sort of things which were easily repurposed and consumed by soldiers and civilians alike, leaving very few to survive in collections today. This is an excellent specimen to add to your Model 1912 saddle and one which would never need to be upgraded. M1913 grain bag.

**In full form with all seams intact, showing no wear and only minor soiling from storage, this bag is complete with both ties in excellent condition.**

One M1912 canvas water bucket for horse: Marked & #34;Kemper-Thomas Co. Dated 1918& #34; on the bottom. Still has cross ropes on the bottom of the bucket.

**Looks to be unused or used very little in excellent condition**

One M1912 stowage/transit bag: For the McClellan saddle as issued during WW1 with the Cavalry and Artillery 1904 saddles. This one is stenciled to the 14th US Field Artillery with crossed cannons. The same bag was issued to both the US Cavalry and US Artillery Troops for their McClellan& #39;s.

**Some fading & amp; slight soiling but stencil is still strong. Some light fraying around the top edge. Overall in very good to excellent condition.**
